Angel Wings
Author:

Slowly they are plucked away, feather by feather, until the Angel's wings are gone for good. For the smallest reasons they fall down and blanket the world in something divine. If you ever find one of mine, keep this in mind.

Title: Angel Wing
Author: Heather P.

Angel feathers.

Lost upon the sea of the world,

And fallen with the innocence of a smile.

The warmth of love,
The simplest kind of devotion.

In star shine and moonlight,
In sun shine and mists of rain.

Pure mystery of an ancient way,
A soft and bittersweet path to the loss of faith,.
And the acceptance of change and love.

The feather curves my cheek,
Meeting my tears.
The closeness of skin and affection,
Brewing within my soul.

The feathers fall upon closed eyes,
In the sunlight and moonlight,
In the falling snow and rain.

And I open my eyes to the glorious shining,
To take in the acceptance of loss.

Casting my angel feathers upon the world.
