The handsome young man smiled at her from across the room. He was tall, blonde hair, blue eyes, and luscious red lips- he was perfect in the looks department. She smiled back. One of the girls whispered in her ear, told her to talk to him. She shook her head. She was too shy. If he liked her, he would take the first move. She looked back over to him, but he was gone. Too bad, he looked so delicious. She decided to go outside for some fresh air. It was not often that she came to the mainland, but she still knew the way around Pyresa off by heart. She headed off in the direction of the cliffs. There was a secluded place there where she could clear her head, relax and just watch the waves. The night was balmy, as always, and the music from the dance drifted down to her on a warm breeze. She found the path, almost unnoticeable, and walked along it. When she reached the cliff she stood a bit back from the edge and closed her eyes to listen to the waves. She tensed up all her muscles and then let go. Her mind drifted away on the breeze along with the music. She could see the land racing underneath her. She floated over the ocean. She felt at peace. Suddenly she felt herself being pulled back to her body. She opened her eyes and beside her was the handsome man from the dance. She turned to face him. He was smiling, his blue eyes sparkled like the waves, laughing at her. She smiled back, and felt herself blushing. He took he hand and pulled her towards him. His hands around her waist, he kissed her passionately. She felt her heart race and found that her arms were around his neck. Finally he let go and took a step back. Her eyes met with his and she felt as though she was hypnotised, falling into the deep blue pools. It seemed that his eyes were always changing colour. She knew then that she would always love him. He took her hand and kissed it.

" My name is Ariel."

Trinity woke from her nightmare. She said a silent prayer to Aria that the dreams would go away. If only she could forget, erase the memory somehow. Trinity looked out the window at the dial in the courtyard. She had some time before she started her shift. She put her clothes, a brush and sandals into a bag and headed out the door, grabbing her spear on the way. Walking down the hallway to the washroom Trinity was joined by Krista, her black hair pinned up.

" You going to the washroom?" Trinity nodded, smiling at Krista.

" Do you mind if I join you?" Trinity shook her head, and was cheered up by the look of pleasure on the young girl’s face.

" You’re newly joined, right?" Krista’s head bobbed up and down.

" Yes. I’m so excited. I’ve been here for two weeks. Everyone is so friendly. I live in the Zeta Wing, and I share a chamber with Allanah. She’s new too."

" So how do you know me? I’m leader of the Delta wing. Minjah is the leader of your wing."

" I saw you at the welcome ceremony, but one of the girls told me you were one of the best warriors in Chimera." Trinity blushed. They came to the washroom and entered. Trinity walked over to the wing leaders’ pool. The bathers in this pool were hidden from view behind a screen. She stripped off her clothes and hopped in, letting the heat of the pool sink into her bones. She was relieved to be alone in the pool. But, being so early, she wasn’t surprised. Sleeping-in was considered a luxury
