Birds, they sing every day
with no idea from whence they came
They don't care and neither should you
we should all live life just like the birds do
Birds, when trapped, will try to fly away
Humans, too, would free the day
But still there are those who say
we must go back to the cage from whence we came
So we hold our cage up high, as a badge of honor
and we force it upon the ones who wander
Occasionally a bar is broken from the cage
filling many with a subtle rage
some fight to flee, others to keep them in
Good is on neither side, so no one wins
So that is our fate, every city, every nation
trapped in this struggle, an eternal damnation
