Jack and Jill

Who were they, Anyhow?

Went up the hill

Little did they know what their fate was.

To fetch a pail of water

If their mother had known, would she still have sent them?

Jack fell down

Clumsy oaf

And broke his crown

A toy or his bone?

And Jill came tumbling after

Was she pushed?

Hey diddle diddle

What a strange way to start a poem.

The cat and the fiddle

Cat's don't like music!

The cow jumped over the moon

Did they strap a rocket to the poor thing's back or something?

The little dog laughted

Sadistic thing

To see such fun

Tormenting animals is 'fun?'

And the dish ran away with the spoon

Cutlery can elope??

Mary had a little lamb

Cute!

Whose fleece was white as snow

Didn't it get dirty easy?

And everywhere that Mary went

Went where?

The Lamb would surely go

Everywhere? That would get kinda tiresome, wouldn't it?

It followed her to school one day

I bet the teacher loved THAT!

And I forgot the rest of the rhyme.
