I read a book
And go away
Into other
Lands to play.

Through my book
I see a world
Of peace and
Beauty so unfurled.

On a magic carpet
Of pages strong
I journey far
Righting wrongs.

With swords of
Silver burning
Bright into the
Dark shadowed night

With Creatures of
The darkest type,
Stalking all in forests
Of blight

So many places yet unknown
When I venture into another
World of right and wrong
And escape again for a little while.
