The Sleep Prayer
Author:

A silly poem on sleep to the 'tune' of 'Now I lay down sleep...' - prayer sort of thing. Hehehe, I was bored and tired, what can I say?

The Sleep Prayer

~*~*~

Now I lay down to sleep,
I pray the Lord the alarm won't beep.
And if I should fail to wake next morning,
I pray the Lord I won't be boring,
But if I do, make sure I miss the Bus,
Just let me fall back asleep without a fuss.
Tell my mother I did my best,
But all I wanted was my rest.
And now I yawn and set my clock,
And make sure that my door is locked.
If I should die before I wake,
That's one less nap I'll have to take.
