The Unknown

Rejection and distrust,

Whispers of secrets,

Passing throughout,

Thrashing and humiliating,

Tossing them about

At the whims of the head.

Confusion and hurt,

No comforting shroud of God

Could ever take that away.

No Healer’s hand,

Could ever mend a stabbed heart-

Such as this.

Irreparable and unlovable,

Scarred for life too many times.

Book cover labels,

Condemning for life.

Salt lakes on soft plains.

Waterfall off earth’s edge.

Touching the very heart of God.

Fallen, only to be picked up again,

Broken, only to be sown.

The redness will not be slowed,

No matter how desperate the death.

Purpose and calling,

A mystery for one.

Shadows fleeing,

Angels singing,

Over one prodigal come home.
