On Her Knees

She turned her back,

And lifted her face,

Meditating, praying

For God’s mercy and grace.

Her problems seemed bigger

Than her God and His love;

So she sought direction

And peace from above.

Forgiveness she needed,

And love more than ever,

In Jesus’ covering

Of blood forever.

There was love in His arms.

His forgiveness she felt.

Tears fell from her cheeks,

And before her Lord, she knelt.
