On first glance
You would never believe
How soft her hands really are.
They remind me of satin,
But are strong as steel,
However cliché that may sound.
In a way, her hands mirror her
Personality. I know that the
Outside looks rough, yet inside
There's a quieter, more vulnerable
Girl. Sometimes I think
I'm the only one who sees this.
What I read in her is almost
Indescribable, a twisted assortment
Of personality traits that merge and
Form the beautiful woman whom
I know and love. I look at
Her hands, and discover all
I cannot describe in words,
Is right there in front of me:
It's tangible, fresh, and real.
Look past the first glance,
Take her hands in your own,
And discover the person
She really is inside.
