A Monkey Once Sang

A Monkey once sang,

…Now I’m a believer…

And now I’ve grown a tail and

Hopped into that same tree.

An Electrasied Briton once said,

…I feel the Morning Afterglow…

And now I drink tea and

Have calmed down my conquering urges.

(Still I’ve somehow found my colony anyway)

A Verve once said

…It’s a bittersweet symphony, this life…

Well, I’d say it’s true

Because I’ve tasted the bittersweetness of your mouth

And want to keep on living.

An Eel related how all he needed

…Is A Friendly Ghost…

Baby, put on that white sheet,

And walk through them walls.

While I grow a tail and

swim through your ghostly waters.

This same Eel spoke of

…Novocain for the Soul…

Now I’m feeling numb

And this intense joyous feeling

hUrTs like an Eel’s bite.

…Hold Me Now…

‘coz I’m six feet from the edge, baby,

And it’d be a shame if I fell

Without the Creed of your kisses.

A Seal swam up to me

while I was lying on an iceberg

And told me

…I’ve been Kissed by a Rose…

I told him the same; we shook flippers.

Just the other day

You told me you wanted me,

and now the wrongs are so very right

And your eyes sparkle as I hold you close.
