Bloodied roses

Fresh Spring roses in the breeze

Flying still in the air with ease.

Roses sharp and roses red

In the love I’ve heard in the words you’ve said.

Blood-red roses on the ground

In love once lost and new love found.

Bloodied roses tossed aside

Blood from the past when a red rose cried.

Solitary eyeball gazing high

Growing from seed, growing to die.

Crushed out of life, gone from this plane

Ending its torment in untold pain.

Pain induced, but not by the hand

That wipes this rose from this grey land.

Pain wrought by loss of love most great

Enough to shatter the bars of this blackened gate.

Kisses so tender, they turn to dust

Taste of each other turns gate to rust.

Heart beats on, beats faster still

As passions empty and passions refill

Touches so soft, flesh so smooth

Wise words spoken, love doth soothe.

Love doth burn a light so bright

Encompasses all, this soothing sight.

Ice melting in the heat of your gaze

I can barely see past this fiery haze.

Kisses soft and kisses light

All wrongs are gone, there’s only the right

The Right of Passage towards thy face

Towards thy lips, towards thy grace.

Staying here and never leaving

Old love has died; there is no grieving

Funeral’s covered in roses red

Old love lost; I’ve found you instead.
