Lost To Me

Turn and bow and greet each guest

And stab each one right in the chest

Reel in joy and shudder in anguish

As you parade in the house in which you languish.

Have you danced on a moonlit night

As the stars cast down their soothing light?

Stars are our source of comfort and fright.

Busy as ever, we flutter around

Earthing our loves in the cold hard ground.

Enough of that, we must survive!

Never give up, forsake love and thrive!

Took much effort not to cry

As she touched him I would die

Killing me softly, as one did sing

Each soft caress a shuddering sting

Not feeling am I while their loving words ring.
