Hold me now

I hear them coming for me

Hold me now

Because it’s now or never.

I woke up this morning feeling

Like tonight is the end and everything

Before

Is anticipation.

Like traveling along a long lonely road

To death at a cliff

Sweet death, calm death, everything’s okay.

But hold me now

Because tonight is fading fast

And our moments shared are plummeting

Fast.

Hours, days, weeks

All led up to this moment

Just survive up to this moment

It’s alright, just wait for the moment.

Don’t let go

Please

Hold me now

Make it last longer

I know it will end, but

can it end later?

It’s going, they’re coming

Draw me close

Don’t let them take me now

Not yet.

Not while I can still draw breath

From the air of finality

Not while these limbs can move

Will I be still and forever let you go…

Hold me now.

Because before and after

It cannot be.
