            We’re the stars now.

Like a blind man’s first gaze

A deaf man’s first song

A loveless soul

Finds you.

It was before that I’d look up at the night sky

And fling curses at the stars for shining so bright.

Their dances mocking

Their light not stopping

Hurting these blind eyes…

Their songs so beautiful

They’d rip my hair by the roots

I’d shut my ears

My mouth would sneer

Not hearing was I, their loving words.

But now.

Now.

Now I look down from the night sky

And catch the curses flung up upon me

They do not stop

They harm us not

We are the stars now.

We are the stars now

And I’m happy up here

Looking down

At the ground

And the people who aren’t up here yet.
