Welcome to Ravings

Good day, reader! I’d love to introduce myself before I get started with the little musings and strange poems in this big ol’ heap of awesome. I’m Sam. I started compiling this because I realized how much I disliked all the essay collections in the Essay section that are full of hard-line political stances and inflamed rhetoric. I figure, hey, people don’t always want that. Sometimes people’d just like to read something funny, something lighthearted. So you can go elsewhere to hear people rant about partial-birth abortion, or insult all religion, or wax acidic on the subject of Bush and Sharon and Iraq and drug trafficking.

I write silly poetry and record my odd little thoughts, and occasionally I have an opinion and I slap it up here too. Sometimes I poke at God, a little, but I figure hey, he’s omnipotent. He can take it.

So mostly this is just a jumble of whimsy that I hope you enjoy.

The cafeteria here serves Belgian waffles on Sundays. Life is good.
