A few weeks later.

The sun was shining and the weather was inviting. Jane sat on the stairs outside the library with her Extreme Heroes Comics to read away her afternoon. She looked at the cover of Extreme Heroes issue #100. It was embossed in silver, and it shone brightly in the sunlight. She beamed as she started to take off the plastic. Just then the computer lab door opened and a figure emerged and took to the sidewalk, about to pass her. It was Tiger.

He apparently hadn't seen her yet, or at least hadn't recognized her because that all-too-familir look of frightful uncertainty grabbed his face again when she called out to him. "Hey Tiger. Come here I wanna show you something."

Jane thought she saw him groan. She definitely saw him look at his watch before striding her way. She ignored it. "Tiger, check it out." She held up #100, still in its protective plastic wrap.

He looked at it disinterestedly until he realized what it was. Then the faintest expression of surprise spread across his face. "Hey, you're really into this, aren't you?"

Jane tilted her head and looked at him. "Yeah, you're just now noticing Mr.-thank-you-for-not-attacking-me?"

"Well I thought you were just all over it for Jack Logan, and then..."

"And then?" Jane pressed.

"Well, the costume thing."

"Oh, I get it. Well, Tiger, Jack Logan is a beautiful man, but my heart belonged to BlueWolf before Jack Logan put on his face. So you can rest easy, I'm not gonna jump you or anything. Not that you're not pretty," She winked, "You're cool with or without the costume. I'm just not dangerous...well not that dangerous anyway."

Tiger studied the gleam in her eyes before speaking, weighing her words. "So could I like borrow some comics sometime, or do you not loan them out?"

"No no, you're welcome to read them anytime you want."

"I may do that sometime. Thanks. I'll catch you later Jane."

"See ya later Tiger."

That was the first time since she had met him that Jane had seen him walk away from her, not run. She sighed. *It's gonna be a lot harder to make him squirm now. There goes my fun.*
