This Friendship
Another summer day
Comes and goes.
And then the leaves will fall,
When the cold wind blows.
And through it all
This friendship grows.
Every yesterday we leave behind,
Has got a memory that’s on my mind,
When happiness is hard to find.
Someday, when we’ve become older,
Maybe then…
Life will change, but memories we’ve shared will
Come again…
Though the world is cold, and friends are bought and sold,
This friendship will never grow old.
It’s so beautiful to feel so strong,
And it’s so wonderful to belong,
With people who never do me wrong.
I know you’ll always make the seasons warm,
Together, all of us, can fight any storm,
We’re like a heart that can’t be torn.
And someday, when we’ve become older,
Maybe then…
Life will change, but memories we’ve shared will
Come again…
Though the world is cold, and friends are bought and sold,
This friendship will never grow old.
Cause someday all of us will be far away,
From this place we know as home today.
This all will change but we’ll keep laughing,
And talking,
And loving in our small ways,
And dreaming, and scheming,
As always.
