The worst Night I ever had

Your face so sweet so full of emotion,
Your eyes so gray brimming with love.
I kissed you so tenderly and watched as you drove off into the sun set.
Suddenly I screamed the pain in my voice raw.
That ball of faire was not the sun,
It's red light gleaming eons away.
I ran toward it, calling your name
I screamed and fought as they pulled me away
"There's nothing you can do, its too late." they say.
I fought the tears coursing down my cheeks.
I railed and cried for all I was worth.
And then when I thought nothing was worse...
I opened my eyes drenched in sweat and saw the phone flashing your number
I looked around to realize it was only a dream
And called you at three just to be sure
That my fears were only in my mind, as they seemed.
