The last tree alive it stood,

It should have been dead, it should.

In the middle of the wood, alone,

where the rabbit and the badger used to called home.

where the owl screeched in a tree,

in Spring beautiful flowers to see.

In the Summer the river ran passed.

In the Autumn the leaves fell fast.

In the Winter the last tree alive stood,

It should have been dead, it should.
