Inner Room

Laying

Sprawled upon my bed

Blanket by the shadows

I clutched my chest

A trembling heart beating within

Whispering a silent prayer

To keep that last glimpse of hope

From fading into the silence

A hope of an intrusion

Hearing the footsteps

I prayed that this one would stop by

And, Perhaps,

Open the door between us

The footsteps simply echoed off

The one that I called friend,

Simply walked passed

Without more than a glance

Laying

Sprawled upon my bed

I opened my eyes

And stared at the dark void around

Catching sight of the closed door

That had never once been open.

A/n: Something about an inner room inside a person, waiting to be found. Reviews would be greatly appreciated.
