A Breath of Life

This is really strange. It has a hen in it. I found it in a old book from year 5 in my old school (when I was 10), I have no idea where the hen came from.

A Breath of Life
A dark room,
No light.
The gathering gloom,
Comes to fight.
A hen lies,
In the darkness.
Time flies,
The Breath of Life is hopeless.
Then,
It gets stronger.
In the form of a hen,
The corpse is no longer 'it'.
The hen is alive,
The breath of life has succeeded.
The hen buzzes like bees in a hive,
Here comes the life the hen needed.
