The Worst Crime

Innocence has fled today,

From this child’s eyes.

He sees nothing good to come from life,

All around is darkness and lies.

His childhood was ripped from him,

By prying, grasping hands.

They told him to lie very still,

The fun would never end.

Fighting like he knew he should,

Didn’t change a thing.

How can a boy of seven

Beat a man of 49?

It’s a cold cruel world we live in,

That a child should have to endure

The lowest form of degradation

Anyone can administer.

A bruised and bloody boy

Now walks the streets alone.

How can he go back to a life

Where this knowledge may be known?

He fears being rejected.

This happening again.

The turmoil raging inside him

Is shadowed by his pain.

A box is now his shelter.

For his mind won’t let him go

Back to the home he treasured

It sees no sympathy they’d show.

He blames himself for losing

The battle for his innocence.

That’s all he truly knows now

No other argument makes sense.

Innocence was ripped today,

From this child’s eyes.

His life is now in ruins

His soul has not survived.

A.N. Damn. Just…. Damn. That has got to be the darkest thing I have ever put down in ink. Wow. This was inspired a very small way into Part 3 of Cassia’s Unremembered.

Be warned about the themes, child abuse, molestation, rape, and torture…. This is an ‘R’ rated Jedi apprentice fic that is absolutely brilliant (at least it is up through part 3, I haven’t quite finished it yet…). I didn’t ask permission to write this, because it was only inspired by the fic. The social themes are prevalent in society anywhere.

Child abuse and rape are the two most disgusting that could and are allowed to happen every day. It is sick to think that at this very moment children are enduring this kind of treatment. Anytime this happens it should immediately be reported to the police and the child should be removed from the environment. Please, if this has happened to anyone you know or you think it is happening, report it. It’s this kind of sick behavior that make our world horrible and dangerous and the people who do it are the one who fill the deepest levels of hell.
