The Girl Just Cries

A girl sits and cries on a shining rock.
A boy is close, and walking away.
Friends come near, to comfort the girl.
The girl just cries.

A friend asks what is the matter?
Another one holds her close.
A third tries to dry her tears.
The girl just cries.

The boy continues to walk away.
His heart is solid, and has nothing to say.
He goes to turn, but instead just walks.
The girl just cries.

Another friend, then took the stand.
She would not have the girl cry for much more.
She left her side, and went to the boy.
The girl just cries.

A slap is heard, and yelling occurs.
A blade is drawn, and a blood is spilled.
The friend does not return.
The girl just cries.

The girl looks at the rock she sits on.
A name written across the top.
A friend who tried, to make her feel better.
The girl just cries.

The boy who went, an angel of death.
The friend who dies, a saint in her eyes.
A saddened tale, is told these days.
The girl just cries.

A friend lost, a brave soul.
A companion gone, never to return.
The tale unfolds and comes to a close.
The girl just cries.
