Friends are not forever
as some seem to think.
There are good friends
and bad friends.
Of course, there are best friends.
Good or bad
they are all your friends.
The good ones listen and are nice.
They like you but sometimes they're there
too much.
The bad ones use you.
They just want something you have;
they'll hurt your feelings
then be all nice again.
The best friend is the one who thinks
before talking to you.
The one who cares
but knows when to let go.
She'll listen and help
and leave you alone.
Best of all, she lets you help her.
These are all friends,
good or bad,
but only one
is your best friend
well maybe two, but not all.
