Story Time in the Village

Two men behind masks circle around,
Telling an ancient story without a sound.
Decorated in brilliant green, red, and gold,
One is the villain and one the hero.
Children sit quietly as the story unfolds,
Who will win this battle nobody knows.
The sound of a drum the strum of guitars,
Traditional music under the stars.
The monster slices the prince with the blade of his dagger,
All is not lost as our young prince staggers.
They hop on one foot then the other.
Sisters hold the hands of their older brothers.
The hero raises his sword and brings it down,
And the villain slowly falls to the ground.
Hoorays fill the air, for our prince has won,
Watching a story without words is so much fun!
