A girl with medium length dirty blond hair and green eyes was wondering around the town. Sometimes she would stop in at a friend or cousin's house, but usually only for a minute or two. She glanced up at a darker looking house and sighed. She knew the boy who lived there fairly well. He was always an outsider, not caring much for other people.
JB decided she'd pay him a visit. By the looks of it he could use some company. She walked up to the door, not really paying attention to the shouts coming from behind the house. There were always noises around this place. Some people even say it's haunted.
"You there? Hello?" She said loudly, after she had knocked on the door. No one answered, so she decided to just enter on her own. The door was unlocked. She slowly pushed it open and glanced inside. The entire house looked dark. That's when she heard another yell from outside.
"Bring our guest out back. Be quick about it!" A male voice shouted. JB automatically knew it was the quiet boy, thought he didn't sound quite to quiet now. A small imp-like creature crawled up to her, watching her with careful and cautious eyes on JB smiled kindly at it and it hissed slightly.
"Master wants you in the back yard." He said, his voice sounding altogether like a hiss anyway. He turned and crawled back out, JB following closely behind, looking around to see the rooms and what was in them. It turned out his house was normal, save for the perpetual darkness.
"Hello, JB." Said the boy, in an utterly emotionless tone. JB looked up, startled. She hadn't even noticed that she had gone outside. She looked around quickly, trying to find the boy. Then she saw him sitting on a medium sized fighting arena. The tiles that covered the arena were white, and seemed to almost radiate with a glow of its own. (1) The boy had pale skin and dark eyes and hair. He was wearing dark clothes as well.
"Oh, hi. Umm." JB seemed more surprised then she thought she'd be. She knew that she had stopped by to talk to the boy, but now that she was there, she seemed shocked by her own daring. The boy seemed to emit an energy of strength and cunning. He seemed almost invincible, even though he looked so frail and thin.
"No need to be frightened. Come, sit over here with me." He said, still without emotion. He motioned to the arena, which was where he was sitting. JB frowned slightly, but obeyed. She walked slowly over to where he was sitting and sat down diagonal from him, facing him. He smirked slightly. "Why are you so scared of me? I won't hurt you." He said. JB shrugged and looked up at the sky.
"Master Rob, shall we begin?" Said a small green-ish black imp. Rob looked over at the imp and nodded. JB jumped back away from the side as she felt a tingle go up her spine. She stared at where the air met the floor of the arena. It looked orange. She looked up and down slowly, studying the air. She saw various patches where she could see orange.
"I'm not even going to touch that." She said, and turned around back towards Rob, thought still eyeing the air with dislike.
"Looked at those shadows." Rob said, glancing over towards some shadows that a tree made opposite of him. JB frowned slightly. "Go on." He said, motioning again with his hand. JB turned her head and felt him watching her closely. She didn't turn her head back, but she heard his voice. "See? Am I such a bad guy?" He said, knowing that JB could tell the glow showed there was a barrier. And he also knew that the barrier was an invisible electric current.
JB turned to look back at him, and he pushed her shoulder, making her turn slightly more and fall backwards into the barrier. She flinched, but also noticed that there was a section where there wasn't any electricity. She felt around, but soon realized that the section was getting steadily smaller by the second. After a few moments, the wall was complete.
"The wall will slowly leave, bit by bit, but you have to finish the game, which will test your luck (2), as well as your skills." Rob said, smirking. The arena rose slightly into the air, above the ground by at least 5 feet. JB glanced down for s split second, and saw spikes made out of rock and brick dig out of the ground, so they were only a couple of feet below the arena.(3)
"Let the games begin!"
Okay! Yayayayayayayay! I finished the chapter. I woke up when the arena was just starting to rise because my alarm clock went off.
(1)The arena at one point was a trampoline. _;;
(2)In my dream he said to test my hentai-ness, but I changed it because I didn't get it.
(3)That part was after I woke up, so I just added it. Unless I dream more about this, then everything else will be made up as well!
Well. R&R please!
Ja ne!!!
