This is my feeble attempt at a poem. I usually don’t write them, but I had to for entering this writing program. Review, or whatever.

No Longer Innocent

Something was taken from me,
Something I cannot get back.

My innocence was stolen,
On a cold, dreary night.

He tore at my clothes,
And pinned me to the ground.

“Stop it!” I yelled, but my pleas were not heeded.
He continued on instead ignoring my tears.

It hurt so much,
And not just my body.

He scared me in such a way,
And changed my life forever.

That was nine months ago,
That night of fear and loss.

He not only stole my innocence,
But he left me to pay the cost.
