As I lay on the ground
I wished most desperately to be found
I knew that life would end
But I hadn't thought of this, friend
Why did you do it, and then walk away?
How could you laugh later that day?
Now in heavy chains I watch the mirth,
As a fallen angel doomed to walk the Earth.
I watch you closely and remember what we had
Remember you walking to my door, driven mad.
Your hair was unkept, dark rings hugged your eyes
A walk is what you asked for, I hadn't planned on my demise.
I turned away for just a moment to look across the street
The gun went off then bullet and heart did meet.
I looked to you one last time demanding to know why,
But your face twisted and eyes went to the sky.
To this day I feel the hurt and pain,
I wish I had a chance to live and breath again,
You left me in the alley, left me to rot and die.
My fate is sealed without reason or even a goodbye.
