What is this fleeting thought?
Which you call Love do you not?
How hard it is to obtain,
I think I'd break from the strain.

To be loved for who I am,
Have some one who would give a damn.
What a dream that would be,
Such a dream beyond me.

I can't take it anymore,
To heaven or hell's door.
Hell it is! That's where I'll send,
My tortured soul to never mend.

The Devil take me in his embrace
As I leave this dreary place.
I'll forever hate and never love
Never see the true glory of the dove

What's peace and harmony,
But a soiled cover to eternity?
In life I looked to the sky so blue
For answers that nobody knew.

But as I slowly fade away
Remember forever and a day
To cherish life and hold it dear
I wish for my last sin to be clear.

That I might see you smile again
It would erase most all my pain.
But now you lay me in the ground
Due to my own folly, with nobody around.
