My soul gets mellow from time to time
Wondering what it means to subsist anymore

A blessed tune for unruly despair
My heart can't sink much lower than this
But it continues to drop like a stone of fire
Chilling my body but melting my soul

Your song continues to craft my moods
But is growing finer as the seconds go by

Hoping it stays for one more eternity

My worn-away psyche remains unaware

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This poem was almost completely influenced by Final Fantasy
IX... all of you that have played the game will recognize the story behind
it. As for anyone who has not played the game yet should do so; I just
replayed it over the last couple of weeks and it, to me, is still the
greatest Final Fantasy yet and quite possibly one of the greatest games
ever made period. By the way, if you're wondering what song/tune this
refers to, it is called "Melodies of Life", singing done by Emiko
