Kilu's
Journey
Kilu stalked into the room, his deep blue
shirt reflecting lightly, matching his icy blue eyes, at least in
tone.
Behind the cool blue, anger and resentment burned as he
returned to the place of his birth.
His and his twin
brother.
Kilu's eyes fairly misted over as he thought about his
lost brother, but he brushed the thought as well as the 'tears'
away.
He looked around, almost confused as to which place he
had walked into, but soon realized that it was the pub down the
street from his old house.
Too bad I left before I ever got the
chance to come here...
He gazed around the smoky, dimly lit
room.
Not that I was missing too much....
His eyes
caught on about fifteen people sitting at one table, being loud and
rambunctious, their noise almsot instantly angering the nineteen
year-old male, who's response was to run his fingers through his
shiny blonde hair.
He heard someone in the large group comment
snidely, directed at him, but he ignored it.
He looked further
to his left, but found little but a few couples drunkenly making out,
and one female who looked extremely disgruntled at the behaviour of
her friends.
To her, he nodded his sympathies, then turned the the
bar keep and ordered his drink. He wasn't too sure what he ordered,
but it nearly immediately slid across the slick surface of the bar
counter, and he tasted it gingerly.
For something so little, it
sure was bitter, but he drank most if it in one gulp, not wanting to
look bad.
Again he heard some angry, shouted comment thrown at
him, and assuming it was from the original group, he looked to
them.
But noone was looking at him anymore.
They all had their
attention directed toward the girl and her boyfriend, or her date at
least, because she was attempting to calm him down, so Kilu knew she
knew the man.
He had his big beefy hand closed around her slender
wrist, and this pinned against her chest as he forced her closer to
the wall, effectively removing her exiting options.
Kilu felt
his blood begin to boil, hating everything about this guy.
Who was
he to think he could push around someone smaller than himself?
How
was that fair in any way?
Kilu took about three steps in the direction of them, and then over heard their conversation, which virtually stopped him in his tracks.
"Bitch, flirting
with some hot blonde guy huh?"
He slapped her, angering Kilu
greatly,
"You think I'm gonna let you get away with that?
Huh?"
Another slap.
He stopped listening, and dashed
forward, the last five feet, and as the man was raising his hand to
slap her again, Kilu closed his won hand around the man's wrist and
jerked it backwards, knocking the violent guy off balance, and onto
the floor, tugging the girl away from the wall and flinging her
toward some lit candles.
Kilu caught her in one smooth motion, one
arm across her stomach, one across her back, and she stopped moving
toward the flames.
Still in his arms, she turned to look up at
him, her golden eyes matching her golden hair, and she blushed and
smiled her thanks.
Kilu flicked his eyes to the floor, where her
'friend' was begining to rise.
Kilu lightly pushed the girl away
from him behind him where he could protect her, and waited for the
other male to stand.
He rose from the floor and swung at
Kilu's head, who dodged nimbly, and then quickly swung his arm which
crashed down on the man's back, throwing him to the floor.
Kilu
bent down, his piercing blue eyes locked onto the girl, and whispered
to the man,
"I am her guardian. If you so much as touch her
or any other woman in my town, I'll hunt you down, and make you
sorry."
With that as his final closure, he rose, nodded at the woman, who reached out to him, and turned and walked out the door, leaving half of the population of the bar staring at the bleeding male lying prone on the floor, and the other half staring after him.
*Authors note: heh, Kilu
and Kinon were my favorite RP Characters, but for artistic
differences, I had to do this.
The next chapter will basically be
completely History, as a briefing.
