AN: Whoo!! Unbelievably fluffy sappy sully/kael drabble thingy. Might or might not happen in flawless, but it could, and that’s all that counts, right? Definite spoilers in the fact that they’re together and happy, but you all knew that was coming anyway, right? Didn’t I say it would? XD So. I hope none of you mind the extremely corny stuff that my muses sprout out at times – this time included. Written off the top of my head, and I really couldn’t make them turn out something less… sickeningly sappy. So, here it is. MAJOR SAP WARNING!!

Dedicated to Tsuyuno for being reviewer #300 for Flawless.

If you want more from these characters, and you haven’t ever heard of the main story yet, try reading Flawless. It’s in this account, with link in the bio page…

Read, enjoy, and please review!!

Ja ne!!

“Do you believe in Greek or roman mythology?”

“No.”

“Really?”

“Well… Maybe a little bit.”

Kael grinned to himself and pushed his head closer against the older blonde’s collarbone. “All right, why do you believe in them?”

Sully sighed a long-suffering sigh. “Brat, do you really have to do this now?”

“Yes,” Kael murmured, half closing his eyes so as to not give away his suppressed laughter when the blonde shifted to look at him. “I need to hand it in tomorrow.”

Sully laughed softly at that. “Good grief, you? Procrastinating? I’m almost proud!”

“So you should be,” Kael muttered, pretending to be sulking and turning his face into Sully’s shoulder. He smelled so good-!

“As the corrupter though, it is my job to tell you that you aren’t procrastinating until the assignment is a few days – or better yet, weeks – late.” Sully replied lazily.

Kael basked in the teasing affection he heard in the voice. “You know,” he said suddenly, changing the subject smoothly. “You changed the subject.”

“I did,” Sully conceded slowly. His hands started tracing patterns on Kael’s back. “What of it?’

“Don’t stop,” Kael mumbled into his shoulder. “But my point is, you need to finish answering my questions.”

“How is me believing in myths or not going to help you on a psych. project?”

There was a short pause. “I’m not quite sure,” Kael eventually answered. “But it’s interesting, isn’t it?” he added quickly. “I mean, I would have taken you for the type of guy to not pay attention to that kind of thing.”

Sully grunted non-committally. “You jump to conclusions.”

Kael sniffed slightly and pushed back, sitting up on his own. “Is there something wrong with that?”

Sully regarded him with bright eyes, the gray almost blue in the dim light. “No,” he said softly after a moment. “It’s you.”

Kael blinked. “I don’t understand you sometimes,” he remarked casually, not pushing for an explanation but getting one anyway.

Sully smiled and trailed his index finger down Kael’s cheek, making the younger boy shiver and close his eyes, leaning into the touch a little. “I like you. Don’t change.”

Kael opened his eyes. “Why can’t you say ‘I love you’? Just once.”

Sully shook his head cautiously, not looking at Kael. “It’s not that easy for me, Kael.”

Kael felt a flash of guilt and countered it by throwing his arms around Sully’s neck, almost knocking them back down onto the bed in his haste and genuine fervor. “Sorry,” he mumbled into Sully’s neck.

The older boy’s arms came up to wrap around his back tightly, and lay down himself, pulling Kael down on top of him. Kael lifted his head to stare down into Sully’s face. Gray eyes were shimmering and over bright in the dim light, and Kael felt almost overwhelmed by remorse, making up for it by pressing a soft kiss to the corner of Sully’s mouth.

Sully’s body shuddered under his, and for a moment he thought the blonde was crying, but upon catching the gray eyes with his own, he realized the older boy was only laughing.

He smiled back, not entirely sure why Sully was laughing, but happy because Sully was laughing.

Especially when the blonde could have been crying.

“You’re so cute,” Sully eventually managed, his eyes softening as they stared up at Kael. “Honestly. You know I do like you that much, don’t you?”

Kael nodded slowly, trying to figure out what was going through the blonde’s head.

“Then until I can say it, let me answer your survey, all right? You want to know why I believe in myths and shit like that? Because they have heroes. And heroes are real.”

Kael searched Sully’s eyes for a few minutes, recognizing the things in there that Sully couldn’t say. “Am I…” he started breathlessly. “Am I your hero?”

Sully rolled his eyes, but Kael could detect the sudden blush in the blonde’s cheeks, and it made him grin.

He rested his head on Sully’s shoulder again, a blissful smile on his face. “You know something?”

“What?” Sully asked quietly. His arms tightened around Kael and he turned his head to kiss Kael’s forehead.

“You’re my hero too.”
