Chapter 1: Resumed

            “Hi,” said a fourteen-year old girl with brown hair and sapphire eyes. “My name is Naomi. Welcome to the year 3000! A terrible government, one that makes people live in fear, now rules Earth; I’m part of a resistance group against them called Hacker. There’s Hotaka, the leader, he seems a lot nicer once you get to know him (I mean really get to know him); there’s Akira, the genius, he’s come up with tons of great inventions and always seems to keep to himself (I wonder why); Daisuke, the girl-crazy guy, he’s been trying to get a date with me ever since we first met; there’s also Ken, my boyfriend and peace-keeper, when Daisuke pisses Akira off and is about to get beat up you can always count on Ken to save Daisuke’s ass; and last of all, Hiroshi, Hotaka’s eleven-year-old brother, for some reason he remains in a coma… Even Akira can’t find out what had caused his condition, I hope he’s alright…”

            Naomi walked down the street to Daisuke’s home; the group had decided to meet there, well all of them except Hotaka and Hiroshi. One, Hiroshi was still in a coma, two, Hotaka was now a fugitive ever since that last Hacker event.

            “Hey! Naomi!” exclaimed Daisuke.

            “Careful Daisuke,” said Akira. “Her boyfriend is right here…”

            “But I asked her out first…”

            “Alright,” said Ken. “Since everyone is here let’s start the meeting!”

            “So that covers all the new inventions I’ve made,” said Akira after an hour. “Why are you all staring at me?”

            “You fit all that into your briefcase?” asked Naomi, Akira had pulled out at least a hundred items! Akira just shrugged.

            “No!” said Akira.
