Born A Bird
If I was born a bird of the endless sky,
What would I dream if already I could fly.
What visions would I see when I’m fast asleep,
Unbothered by life, would I ever weep?
If I was born a bird I could spread my wings,
Take to the sky that each morning brings.
If I could glide on the wind, just where would I be?
If I was a bird would you have ever seen me?
And still I’d rather keep my memories,
Than to live at a bird’s eye view.
Cause what would I do above the trees,
Living without you?
What would I think of humanity,
Of the people who endorse superficial beauty,
Of people willing to give their money and gold,
Starving inside for somebody to hold.
Born as a bird, flying safe and sound.
I am here with you above the ground.
The body’s limitation is merely a lie,
For I have no wings, but you’ve helped me to fly.
