Hands of Time

By: Chicago

As we leave our mark

Everyday, every way.

A scratch, a touch, a footprint, a handhold.

We will be remembered by family and friends.

We can stop a war.

Promote world peace,

Or cure a disease.

We will be remembered by the world.

Time will eventually forget.

To stop all wars.

Save all creatures,

And find good in everyone is to leave our mark.

Leave our mark in the hands of time.

A.N. *gags* I loathe this poem with a passion! Seriously! Another one I wrote in 8th grade (2000)... It's cliche, and icky.. Though it shows how I've progressed and I guess I'm overly critical. *shoots the poem*

R&R if you like to tell me how much better my more recent poetry is….
