Autumnal Exposure

Fall is my favorite season. So many things happen all at once, everything withers away and makes ready to be reborn. It says farewell to Summer and hello to Winter, even though it doesn't want to change. Fall is lovely, just lovely.

Title: Autumnal Exposure
Author: Heather P.

Autumnal exposure.

With reds and oranges blinding,
the yellow petals of Summer.

In winds and gusts,
overflowing with regrets.

Tempest rains flowing down the window pane,
crying from the cold and absence of sun.

The stars shimmer with the light of ages,
as my skin tightens and explodes with heat.

Take my turn of leg as a way to walk away,
and turn this Winter time of our lives around.

Leaves cleave apart the time we had together,
putting it at an ending place.

Dog-ear our page and see the season fade,
away into a Autumn sunset of blue and grey.
