And I don't believe You're there,
Sir,
I can't believe You're there for me.
When I cried,
You went and enjoyed the smile of another.
You refused to hear my screams,
Sir,
You blocked them out,
In trade for laughter.

And I don't believe in all the things You say,
My lord.
I find it hard to think
You would listen to my worries.
You sew my mouth shut with tiny stitches,
So You alone can preach.
Sir,
I do not need this.

And I don't believe I belong here,
Your Lordship.
I don't think You've ever wanted me.
Just let me go,
Sir.
Relieve both of us from this struggle.
For it is not worth it.

And I don't believe,
Your Highness.
I can't believe You love me.
It's not real when You tell me You're there.
It's not real when You say you care.
It's painful,
Sir,
It shouldn't be this way.
The pain is just far too great.

And I don't believe You when You say You'll let me go,
Your Majesty.
Because You've promised me nothing but lies.
You've trapped me in a cage,
Holding me down,
Refusing to let me go.
Why, Sir, must you do this?
Only because I don't
Believe in You.
