To Take a Risk

When you're afraid to take a risk
You never seem to lean how to believe in yourself
You're always second-guessing that first step
Cautious of every foot fall
Wary of ever putting your true self on the line
Faith in your abilities falter
And you'll never once have a full life
Regret will plague you at every corner
A fork in the road will become your cross to bear
One wrong move and you'll rear off course
Shifting from one decision to another
Choices are your downfall
Too unstable and you'll lose footing
Tumbling down that spiral
Eternity of anxiety and what ifs
There is never a mapped out course
No straight-a-ways in this race of life
You'll face banks and hairpin turns
Frozen in place as life passes you by
As you're to scared to take a risk
