we walk along,
just you and me,
ashamed of the past,
silently kicking up dead leaves
we witnessed their falling to the wind,
the clearing of a dead ground

Don't Leave.
just walk with me.
neither of us have to say a thing.
No, not a thing - just kick dead leaves

they blow into the streets
swivel through the sky
they are gold, not green.
but do leaves truly die?

you and me, not sure where to hide
let's keep on walking -
never stopping, or truly going anywhere
Like scattered dead leaves.
