That name.
How could they speak it?
It carries with it the memories
Like a disease, nay, a parasite
Latched upon a simple name
What they did to me
What they did to others
Who they killed
Who they mutilated
Who they didn't kill
But should have.
Like me.
I would rather be dead
Than live after that monster.
They tainted my thoughts
Corrupted my body
Marked my soul.
That disgusting name.
Bearing scattered thoughts.
Blood
Screams
Laughter
All in the image of a crimson slash.
Not a cohesive picture
But I know what went on.
It burns me so.
My invisible scars burn me so.
People could heal my body
But never heal me.
That dirty name.
Horrible and perverse abomination.
Ruining anything they touch
And basking in its decaying beauty.
But I remember.
I remember the thing I hate most.
That name.
My name.
