Mister Artiste with his paintbrush
Paints a masterpiece of me
At least, it would have been
Had he not been so clumsy
Left his red paint in the wrong place
Knocked it down, made me red
Now this painting is worthless
Push it aside and start again

Why'd I have to get artiste de clumsy?
Why couldn't Da Vinci have painted me?
Instead I am now a tumbled mess
Thrown into the bin with all the rest

After giving up on me, he trys again
A fresh new canvas to work on
He paints the piece that becomes you
Puts you on the wall where you belong
Time has aged you, the paint's peeling
And it's such a great loss:
Mister Artiste has made a mistake
He forgot to put on the gloss

Why couldn't he have be Mister Da Vinci?
Instead you are now a tumbled mess
Thrown into the bin like all the rest

A spoilt artwork that looks great from a distance
When you get up close, it looks like a mess
A spoilt artwork that noone wants from a mile away
Peice of rubbish must get thrown out today

Now we, two spoilt artworks meet
In human form, face to face
Despite the mess their artist left them in
It hasn't all been disgrace
