~~ Title ~~ Bound

Saphyre entered the large palace of Everon, which is the capital of a vast city for Mystics. She walked up a flight of stairs and turned to the right. "Mistress Saphyre, you have returned," an old man said with a warm smile.

Saphyre nodded. "Yes, Ream, I'm home from the Watch. Now, where is my mother?" She asked.

"Celes is in the study and your father is out hunting, as usual. We have expected you to return with good news my dear princess."

"Good news is always welcomed, isn't it Ream?"

Ream nodded and Saphyre walked down the hall towards the study room. She opened the doors and an older woman looked up from a book. Her waist long, blonde hair draped down her right shoulder and her bright green eyes shown even brighter. "Saphyre!" She exclaimed with a broad smile.

Saphyre curtsied. "Mother, how are you as of late?"

"I'm doing well, yourself?"

"Well."

She stood up straight and Celes embraced her daughter. "I've missed you so much, child. How was earth?" She asked.

Saphyre stepped back out of Celes's embrace and walked around the middle table. The study room was vast, with a large quantity of books and maps of old places. The far right of the large room was the study, books and maps were scattered about. The middle of the room was like a lounge area where many of the younger mystics would study up and channel their powers. The left side of the room was full of models, but now became filled with large skeletons of mystic animals and the north side of the room was the entrance. The south side contained a gigantic window which almost circled around the whole room and it showed the outside world in all its glory.

Celes pulled out a chair and settled down into it as did Saphyre across from her. "Did you find everything in order?" Celes asked before she sipped tea from her cup.

"Sort of. I met up with a Forbidden," Saphyre replied.

Celes coughed and placed her cup down, her eyes searched Saphyre. "Did it hurt you!?"

"No no, mother. He...he was sincere, unlike the rest of them."

"Don't ever trust a Forbidden! What happened? Why was that creature there in the first place and why wasn't the guard informed of his arrival!?"

"He wasn't detected because his wings weren't there."

"His wings were gone? A Forbidden would never remove his own wings unless....unless he was ordered to do so by a higher being."

Saphyre's eyebrows arched. "He wasn't like the others, mother. He was very different. I didn't detect a single lying trace in his attitude while we chatted."

"You talked with this Forbidden!? How many times have I warned you to never, ever talk to one of them!? He could have bound you to him with just one kiss!"

Saphyre smiled in spite of herself and Celes frowned. "He did not kiss you, did he?!" She inquired.

"No, but he wanted to. I could see it in his beautiful eyes."

"Saphyre!"

Saphyre snapped back into reality and frowned. "I'm sorry mother."

"I'm taking you out of the guard, I don't want you going out into the real world anymore! You could get hurt!"

"No mother! I get bored inside these walls! Please, don't!"

Celes stood up and turned away. "I have no other choice. I'm going to talk to your father about this as soon as possible. Now, leave the study and go to your room," she said stiffly.

Saphyre stood up and smacked her hands on the table. "I'm not in love with this Forbidden mother! He was just different from the ones in our prison! He hasn't an evil bone in him!"

"Enough!"

"Mother just listen to-"

"I said enough and now I want you to leave this room. All Forbiddens are evil, Saphyre, no matter how much you try and cover their traditions up," Celes interupted with a snap.

Saphyre groaned and stormed out of the study. She slammed the doors closed and leaned against them. "Why won't you listen to me!?" She yelled.

Clouds passed by swiftly as Angel flew like an eagle in the skies and he smiled as the sun rays warmed his face. He slowed down and dropped. He landed on a rooftop and walked down it, jumped off then looked up towards the sky. "You are one strange Forbidden, Angel."

Angel turned and frowned. "Does it surprise you that I love the sky, Murya?" He asked.

The young woman walked over to him and smiled broadly. Her hair was chin length and aubrun, while her eyes were golden. She wore robes, just as Saphyre did, and yet they were a silk fabric. "Yes, it surprises me because your looking at them with a longing expression," she replied.

Angel shrugged and Murya touched his shoulder. "A tattoo?"

"Oh, yeah. Just something I recieved."

"For?"

"Nothing important."

Angel looked at the skies again and Murya sighed. "Your eyes are hazy, love."

"Yes, they are because I have fallen for someone."

Murya's eyes flashed. "For whom?" She asked with jealousy bitter on her tongue.

"She is forbidden for me to love, for she is the enemy's daughter."

Angel looked at Murya. "She does not matter now, does she, when I am but an evil monster inside of human-like skin."

"I can take your mind off of her, my love."

Murya kissed his arm and gazed up into his eyes. "I can make her seem like a dream."

"Oh, but she is a dream. She has been a dream and now I know she is real, Murya. I want to see her again, just one more time and see why she will not return my love."

"Just forget about her! She is the enemy and our people will kill her if she sets foot on our land!"

Angel pulled away from Murya and his eyes glazed over. "I want to see her again, I trust you as my dearest allie to not tell anyone of my departing."

"Promise to come back to me and I won't utter a word."

"I promise, Murya."

Murya smiled. "When you see her and she doesn't return the love, will you be mine?" She asked.

Angel turned to her and a smile formed on his lips. "Maybe, we'll see, Murya. Now, I must go if I want to see her now," he replied.

He spread his wings and leaped off the floating platform. Murya wiped a stray tear from her cheek and walked away towards a blue house.

Saphyre sighed and pushed off of the door. She walked down the long hallway and gathered her long silver hair into a high, messy bun. Her hand stopped before she grabbed her doorknob and she listened. The sound of footsteps echoed in her head and she cautiously opened her door. "You!" She exclaimed quietly through her clenched teeth.

Angel stood in the middle of her room and the window was opened wide. "I....I had to see you again, Saphyre. I couldn't help it," he whispered.

Saphyre entered her room and closed the door. "How did you know this was my room!?"

"Lucky guess I suppose....I swooped in unnoticed so it's only you who knows I am here. My fair lady, please...I beg of you...please do not turn me away when I came this far for you."

Saphyre's heart drummed in her chest and she felt drawn to this Forbidden. Her mind had screamed at her before to stay away and now it questioned if his words were of truth and not falsehood. "You risked your life...just to see me again?"

Angel stepped forward. "Yes, I went through the border...I dodged weaponary. I would walk through a wall of fire just to speak with you and even just to see your face. You see, the first time we met you reminded me of my dreams and now I feel as though I've fallen asleep and wandered back into my dreamland."

Saphyre was flattered by his words and her heart fluttered into a million pieces. Never before, she thought with a hazy mind, has a man confessed his love for me in such a way he has.

"You know my name, but what is yours?" Saphyre asked.

Angel took another step and he was only another step from her. "Angel, my name is Angel," he whispered.

Saphyre closed her eyes. "This is wrong. A Forbidden and a Mystic are enemies!"

"We are not so different, you and I. The wings and the way we recieve love may be not you. The magic and the light may not be the Forbidden's, but I cannot deny the thoughts racing through my head at this moment."

He leaned over and the only sound Saphyre could hear was her own heartbeat as his lips touched hers. A hot blush moved across her cheeks as his tongue parted her lips and his arms wrapped around her body. Saphyre kissed him back with the same fiery passion and his lips trailed down her neck. She closed her eyes tightly and her whole body shivered as he kissed her again. "This is wrong," she breathed.

"What is wrong that we deny the chemistry between us," Angel replied as he untied her robes.

Saphyre opened her eyes and gazed into Angel's baby blue orbs. The robes dropped away and Saphyre stood there against the door. Angel placed his arms around her and pulled her towards him, his lips taking hers. Saphyre closed her eyes as Angel laid them both on her bed and kissed her neck. She glanced out the window and the moon had risen high in the sky. The stars shown brightly and Saphyre felt as though she was in a world of bliss. Two people, she thought as she wrapped her arms around Angel's neck, who are sworn enemies find a common ground to tread on.

Angel tossed his own robe to the floor and smiled. "You are a rare gem in the midst of these stones," he whispered.

"You are also," Saphyre replied.

She closed her eyes and Angel spiraled her into a world of mixed feelings.

to be continued.....

yeah, a little out of the normal way to explain a sexual encounter. You know what happened...ya little pervs. hahaha, just joking. Hope you liked, it's like a Romeo and Juliet thing...I just realized that. Yet, Angel isn't a prince of the Forbidden's...actually...there isn't a king for the Forbidden's world. Hehehe, well, I'm going to go work on chapter three.
