It's like I can't breathe,

The darkness tries to suffocate

The light from my life.

When things finally go right,

Satan makes sure my world crumbles,

Leaving me bruised and broken again.

But no matter what,

Your light shines through.

In the end,

I know there's only You.

You are my comforter,

The world lures me to it,

With it's excitement and seeming joy.

But all it can truly offer,

Is pain and emptiness.
