EPILOGUE: PEACE ATTAINED
On the star-date of 02-25-5197, the U.S.S. Galactic arrived at the Hedera Space Station, where it was to sit in the station's docks for a long time.
All the girls had packed up everything that they had with them, and unboarded their starship. They walked out within the open where they come face to face with a smiling Catalina Suisho.
"Welcome back, girls…" said Catalina. "I got you all tickets to go home. Better get around to saying your good-byes and all."
Simultaneously, everyone went to one another, hugging and wishing the best of luck to everybody. They exchanged mail and e-mail addresses, promised one another to keep in contact, and moved on until everybody has seen everybody else.
Catalina gave everyone their tickets, and before they all can separate from each other, Relena cleared her throat and said, "I like to say one thing before all of us go on our own ways… you all were very good to me, you've made me realized there's more to life than just fighting and being alone. You all did well, and I just want to say that I'm going to miss seeing all of your faces first thing into my star-date, to hear your voices, and that I will keep in contact with you all, even when I get busy and get myself into Star-fleet…"
"I DON'T WANNA GO HOME!!!" cried Lynn. She was crying real tears, and rushed up to Relena, hugging her. "I need to be by your side, Relena! Every second you're gone, I'm going to be one inch closer to having to come visit you unannounced!"
"Oh, well… in that case, I'll allow you to drop in every now and then… until I get accepted at Star-fleet Academy." said Relena.
"Thanks, Relena… we've managed to get so close, and now, we're going home…" said Lynn, stiffling her tears.
"Don't forget, we've also gotten so close to each other that it's not even funny to be going home and might never get to see each other again, except perhaps for reunions and such…" said Leeta, placing her hands on her hips.
"And we definitely had shared good times and bad times, hard times and fun times… with each other." said Kiyome. "It just… feels like yesterday that we were starting all of this together."
"Oh, that reminds me!" exclaimed Mika. She dropped her duffel bag, and began to unzip it.
"Now what?" Kiyome deadpanned. Then Mika jump up from bending down at her duffel bag, and had lots of scrapbooks within her arms.
"I made a scrapbook full of pictures, articles, and some memorabilia for each and every one of you girls. Think of it as a parting gift, from me…" said Mika, giving everyone a scrapbook.
"Mika has done it once again…" said Kiyome, putting a hand to her forehead.
"Thanks, Mika… we'll treasure them, always…" said Terumi.
"Ditto!" squealed Juno and Mimi, their eyes going starry.
"Well, I hate to be the one to make the first move, but… I better make my way to my gate." said Veneti.
"Uh-huh… my flight's going to depart within another half hour. Better get to my gate before it's too late." said Tamika.
Then everyone said their good-byes one last time, and everyone departed for their gate. Relena turned to Catalina, and Catalina said, "Well, let's go home, Miss Relena… we've got a shuttle to catch."
"Right…" said Relena.
Then the two headed towards their gate, and boarded the shuttle just in time before lift-off.
When Relena and Catalina got to the moon, and walked out into the Fourth Moon Base, they grabbed their luggage and finally turned to each other to say good-bye.
"Well, you better get going home… your mother's going to be surprised when she sees you home at last." said Catalina.
Relena nodded, then dropped her luggage. Catalina raised her eyebrows, and that's when Relena gave her a hug, saying, "Thanks for everything, Miss Suisho…"
"Hey, you're welcome…" said Catalina, hugging Relena back and smiling.
Then Relena drew away, bowed slightly, and took her luggage, only to leave the Fourth Moon Base to get to the Second Moon Base. Catalina smiled, and then walked up to the second level, to get to her condo.
Relena opened the door to her condo, and stepped inside. She took off her tennis shoes, and then entered the condo. She looked all around, noticing just how quiet it was.
"Mother?" she called out.
Then her mother walked out of the kitchen, and stopped when she saw Relena. She smiled, and said, "Relena… you're back."
Relena smiled, then dumped her belongings and walked up to her mother. Selena eyed her, and just as she was about to say another word, Relena hugged her as quick as lightning. Selena hugged back, and screamed out in joy.
"Mother, the Samurai-Cons have gave up their quest and returned to Diraes where they belong… we finally attained peace."
"Oh, Relena… I'm glad you're home…"
"So am I, Mother… so am I."
A few star-dates later, everyone else managed to get back to their homes. Lynn rushed home into the arms of her mother and father; Tamika met up with her grandpa at the Mercury Colony's spaceport and began to talk about what had went on since the last time they saw each other; Veneti came back into her family's business, hugging and shaking hands with everyone in the company before she went right into her office and began to conjure up a new starship design; Juniper sat within the parlor of her family's penthouse, having a cup of tea with her family and discussing how the Sailor Squadron won the war against the Space Pirates and the Samurai-Cons; Juno relaxed on the couch, going through the scrapbook that Mika gave her; Terumi sat in her apartment, and drew a self-portrait of her as Sailor Morale Officer Umino by glancing at a picture from the scrapbook; Kiyome and Mika chased each other back to their apartment, glad to be able to bicker freely; Carla came home only to find herself walking right into her own welcome home party; Himeko walked along the beaches of Neo-Tokyo, glad to be home.
As for the Larean girls, Anne managed to get back to her family and shared stories of her star-dates with the Sailor Squadron; Leeta and Jenny had partially made up with each other, before chasing each other through the parks of Minato City; Tamara walked home, brooding but otherwise cheerful to be home; and Mimi sat in front of the TV, watching the latest news and smiling as she heard about the news' version of the defeat of the Sailor Squadron's foes.
Finally, things had quieted down in both the Milky Way and Lares. The girls had finally managed to return to their normal lives, attending school and being with those they had left behind when they were in the Sailor Squadron. And so… everything turned out to be normal...
"Hey! What the?! Oh my… MOTHER!!!" cried Relena.
"Relena… what happened?" asked Selena. There was a moments' pause. "OH FOR GOD'S SAKE, RELENA! WHAT'D YOU DO NOW?!"
"I didn't do anything… I'm innocent!!!" exclaimed Relena.
Well… perhaps not that all normal…
THE END?
