~* THE PRINCESS CORA ANTHOLOGY *~ (late, as usual)

Three big events are culminating right around the same time, and to commemorate them I thought I'd do a spiffy little collection of songs. The three big things in my life - my 15th birthday, celebrating an almost entirely unproductive year - my "anniversary" of one year going out with the best person in the universe =^..^= - and three, though not quite as important, the beginning of my sophomore year in high school! Time to terrorize the freshman!

Here there will be some old favorites, some new tunes, AND at the bottom, all the reviews (on and voiced). To start off, I'm going to list all the songs and their chapter numbers.

1. Spirit
2. Change my Perspective
3. Darkness
4. Be Yourself
5. The Hero That You Are
6. Tell Me (But You Can't)
7. The Show That Never Ends
8. Too Late
9. Why?
10. Love
11. Don't Look Back
12. It's Not That Simple
13. Come to Me
14. The Price
15. All for You
16. Paint My Day
17. The Bleeding Swan
18. To Find Me
19. I Never Knew
20. Man with an Umbrella

Bonuses: (Poems)
Cry
Beneath a Traitor's Moon

Spiffyness! Have fun, and pleeeaaase review! Oh yeah, and I updated some of the old songs, so please read them again if you've already given them a look over.

:: I'm not a hermit, nor am I scary and evil! I like to talk and I'm as friendly as... well... as I always am, which is pretty friendly I guess O_O

AIM: PrincessCora14 :: yes, you may IM me, but pleease say that ur from , I hate stalkers... grr...

.net :: the famously under construction website... lol, I need to take a study period in senior year just to work on this piece of crap... I got a lot done renovating-wise over the summer but the content still drags slowly behind.

*~*~*~*

Oh almost forgot:
My birthday: September 27
My "anniversary": September 30 (pathetic I know)

P.S. There are a lot of reviews from Moril or Lennon Star Glitter Potter (something like that.) They are my friends Caleb and Katy (respectively), who I see all the time. I really appreciate them reading my songs, however, it's better when someone who doesn't know me responds.

Now! On to the first song, to placate the evil lack of prologue-ness in !

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Spirit
A sort of sad-then-happy song. I decided to take out the most important part of the song cuz it didn't fit with the rest and I liked the rest on it's own anyway.
This song is dedicated to Mark Taylor, who I don't hear from anymore, but who was a major inspiration when I first started writing =^..^= thankies!
I believe...
The lonely child, weeping
For pain that others have caused
No one comes to comfort her
No one cares enough for her
Harken! In the distance
A spirit softly calls
With gentle arms to hold the child
Until her tears have falled
(Chorus)
Who is there for the lonely souls?
With eyes of brown and heart of gold
The faces hidden that no one sees
Who will come to set them free?
Dry your tears, it will be all right
It may be hard, but you'll survive
Never give up, nor let go of your dreams
Remember me...
With you I'll be...
The child knew there would be more
Waiting behind locked doors
Never knowing daylight
Never knowing how to fight
But she remembered kindness
From the lady with a smile
She wished so hard and hoped that then
Someday she would see the end...
(Chorus)
Who is there for the lonely souls?
With eyes of brown and heart of gold
The faces hidden that no one sees
Who will come to set them free?
(Chorus)
Who is there for the lonely souls?
With eyes of brown and heart of gold
The faces hidden that no one sees
Who will come to set them free?
Open the windows, unlock the doors
Step out into the light of day
Children shouldn't be locked up tight
Children should always be free
The child looked around her
She couldn't believe her eyes
She knew the Lady would come for her
But she was used to lies
But here outside in sunlight
The child could be safe
No more beatings, no more pain
And slowly
Oh so slowly
She smiled
(Chorus)
Who is there for the lonely souls?
With eyes of brown and heart of gold
The faces hidden that no one sees
Who will come to set them free?
I'm here beside you, don't be afraid
Leave it all behind you now
I will show you what beauty is
Follow me...
I'm here with thee...
I believe...
This is the first song I've written that I was actually proud of. It was one of the first few songs on (what was then) , and some of the people who reviewed it are still around and still read my songs =^..^=
Wow, that's beautiful. I'ts amazing the way you wrote something about child abuse and yet it's got a happy mood.
