About a nightmare. Or something like that. Loosely connected to another poem I wrote called 'Blindingly White' An explanation for it, maybe?

Anyway, I'd really like to know what you think. Please review.

-Drowning In Your Dreams-
by Kat-chan

---

When you shake your head so sadly
When you never tell me why
When you never come and hold me
And dry the tears I've cried

When you stop asking about the cuts
And the bloodstains on my sheets
When I don't bother to hide my scars
When our eyes no longer meet

When I'm screaming in my sleep
And sleeping through my screams
When all I see is pain and hurt
In my crimson tinted dreams

When I'm terrified and cowering
In the darkened corner of my room
You say you know what's best for me
You don't know, but you assume

When you let them diagnose me
When you let them drag me away
When you let the doctor up the dosage
To keep my bloody nightmares at bay

That's when they'll come to get you
Out from the closet and under the bed
That's when they'll drag you down with them
That's when they'll get inside your head

Their voices will echo in your ears
Your skin will burn with their touch
That's when you'll start screaming, too
That's when it'll be too much

And then they'll lock you up, like me
In a room so blindingly white
In a comfy little jacket
Wrapped around you oh-so-tight
