The Last Saloon

Limbo is The Last Saloon,

And I’ll have another drink please.

Same again, my old friend?

Why do you ask me that?

Wipe another glass clean;

I’m not leaving here tonight.

Tell me a story that I know,

About some guy with a gun

And that lucky dime,

Who saved the day again,

Just like he did the last time.

Piano plays the same old song.

Hollow notes in smoky air.

A tune we know so very well

That no one likes it here.

Apron Lady, with too much makeup

On a face that shows no lines,

It’s 1am and your day is done,

But I won’t say goodbye;

You’ll be back at 9 tomorrow.

I think you’ve had enough, my friend.

Come on; let’s get you home.

Well I have no place to be tonight,

And you’ll open again soon.

Limbo is The Last Saloon,

And I’ll have another drink please...
