Thoughts of one who must fall.

(A love poem from Bennett the Demon to Solange the Angel)

(Don't worry, no back-story is needed, it's just a cute little poem about the feeling of hopelessness and seeing the light where it does not shine. A
little free-form poetry in a moment of artistic failure while watching
someone in their artistic high.)

Golden Curls that fall from an oval face
Brown eyes that sing with expression
A laugh that allows a blind man to taste
A smile. Lips that barely speak a confession
Shaped like cupids' bow, words like arrows
Made with love not malice.
Indeed, no less a man than a god could describe
What an earth bound angel looks like,
Not that many mortal poets haven't tried,
But despite his efforts can only fall
While angels can only fly.
So, If I must fall, fall I must fall

I cannot say I that my destiny troubles me much

For while I fall into deathless space
I shall watch the Angel's soar high above
For simple pleasure of watching pure Grace
Takes away the pain from those who must die
Both in their heart, and in their soul.
