Let's get quiet.

Silence the mouths,
Dam the flowing of the rivers,
Of ink as they pass through,
Our minds and bloodstream.

Kill the laughter,
Shadow the ghosts,
Cover your eyes and make sure,
You don't witness reality,
As you swim,
Deaf to your surroundings and revelations.

I can't help but feel an unusual,
Now somewhat primitive emotion we now call,
Compassion and/or sentiment.

Fuck conformity,
And embrace mediocrity.
