Title: Developing

I submerse the photo onto the liquid,

Rocking back and forth,

Tears streaming from my eyes,

I can see the danger developing,

The picture comes as no surprise.

I stand amongst the broken land,

The chemicals combining,

Two people have begun to fight,

The soldiers marching, signing.

I see the red light blearing out,

The guns are held up high,

The people lie amongst the dead,

Exposed to darkness, why?

I weep amongst the poppies grown,

Some bombs are not defused,

The photo now in the ‘stop’

A word I wish was used.

I crouch amongst the grave stones here,

Rocking back and forth,

And soldiers not named,

The photo tells a story today,

But who is it that we should blame?

An:/ War is one of my favourite poetic subjects. I really like photography and am studying photography at the moment. I decided to combine the two subjects into a poem. I hope you like it. Good/bad points, improvements? Feedback greatly appreciated as usual. Thank you.
